George’s remarkable and prolific career as a published author began as far back as 1936 and flourished for over four decades and more than forty books. The great majority of them being illustrated by himself.

  In celebration of George Houghton’s legacy, Sean Arnold has re-issued his war time classic “They flew through Sand”, and produced two compendiums of his celebrated cartoons.
